Tribute by St. John the Baptist Choir Lubaga Cathedral
St. John the Baptist Choir Lubaga Cathedral, we stand before you with grateful hearts to animate this Mass and to say our Final Farewell to our beloved *Mrs Ddumba Florence Najjemba.
Mama Florence was one of us.
She loved worship. She loved hymns. She loved to see the choir praise God with one voice.
Whenever we raised our songs, we often saw her seated, hands lifted, heart in prayer, and sometimes singing softly along with us.
She supported the choir not just with her presence, but with encouragement, kindness, and prayers. She reminded us that music is not just sound — it is prayer twice.
Florence taught us humility, commitment, and faith. Even in difficult times, she would tell us: _“Children, keep singing. God is listening.”
Today we animate this Mass for her, just as she once joined us to praise God. We believe our songs will escort her home to the Father.
Mama, rest in eternal peace.
Your seat in church may be empty, but your voice will forever echo in our choir.
We promise to keep singing, and to keep your spirit of service alive in St. John the Baptist Choir.
“Blessed are those who die in the Lord… for their deeds follow them.”
Go well, Mama Florence. We will meet again in glory.
